Panasonic Blu-ray Players Adding Streaming Access to VUDU

Panasonic and Samsung are pushing 3D and internet on TV and the current consumer experience is like PC on TV ? Thanks Boxee, but no thanks !

Panasonic's newest line of Viera Cast-enabled Blu-ray Disc players is adding streaming access to VUDU as their newest capability. The service will be available beginning Nov. 24.

Viera Cast is Panasonic's IPTV function, supporting its activity in the Connected TV market. Earlier this year, Panasonic added Netflix, Skype voice and video calling, Twitter and Pandora. Features also include Amazon Video-on-Demand, YouTube, Google's Picasa Web Album, Fox Sports, Bloomberg News and a weather service.

VUDU is a video-on-demand service offering instant streaming of movies and TV programs through IPTV-enabled HDTVs and Blu-ray Disc players with no computer or cable/satellite TV service required, and no subscription or monthly membership fees. VUDU's movie library includes more than 4,000 1080p movies.
