2017 has been a pivotal and momentous year for digital health and given the reactions of our few competitors, we've definitely led the charge in disrupting retail healthtech for the benefit of our valued clients.
See, in 2015 we were the first in our industry to introduce hyper secure mobile apps for doctors to engage with their patients on a more personal and targeted level. In 2016 we introduced conversational interfaces and AI with bot-based patient scheduling, while solidfying our mobile footprint and introducing our marketplace, another industry first. In 2017, we went full steam on machine learning, real-time data inferencing with our self-drving practice, inventory management system and Alexa skills. We also introduced our developer API to the world, while continuing to serve our partners with access to our gigantic healthcare datasets. We even got a prestigious award for that!
And we're just getting started: In 2018, we're going to leapfrog ourselves once again by further delivering on our mobile first, cloud native and AI-inside promise. With deeptech, our retail healthcare solutions are going to become incredibly simple, timely, incredibly malleable and very, very smart. So stay tuned.
Meanwhile we're announcing our residency program for promising AI scientists nationwide. This is a fantastic opportunity for grad students looking for hands-on experience related to deep learning in healthcare. In conclusion, there's so much we have achieved in the past three years in terms of hard work resulting in long-lasting innovation and delvery of value to both our clients and shareholders that in retrospect, it feels like 10 years have passed. I am very proud of our product organization here at Sikka and I am looking forward to more outstanding results in 2018! Happy new year, may your road in 2018 be full of joy.
My name's phil mora and I blog about the things I love: fitness, hacking work, tech and anything holistic. Since July 2015, I've been the Head of Product at Sikka. We're using big data, analytics, machine learning and AI to redefine medicine - our angle is the business of being a doctor. What we do is very, very cool. If you want to talk to me about that, you are more than welcome to contact me here or follow me on medium or twitter and chime in.
