You have heard this over and over again, “people who enjoy what they do are far more productive than those who do not have a passion for their work”. If you have no idea what I am talking about, consider this - have you ever been in a “state of flow” at work, when you’re so focused on doing something that you discover that hours have passed just like a few minutes ?
So. How are happiness and productivity even remotely related? well, if you want to improve your productivity, one way of doing it is to work on your mindset. I have discussed here the importance of emotional intelligence and mindfulness more than once, however it’s important to remind yourself that how you think is often more important than what you think.
Realize deeply that the present moment is all you have. Make the NOW the primary focus of your life.

So are you speaking in positives or negatives?
Just be honest. Then perhaps work on a plan to change your perspectives on certain aspects of your life that might be worth changing? The most important is always to get started. Then you’ll inevitably realize that there is a direct correlation between happiness and productivity.
